About

2009_0308march20090020

Like all great things, HeadOverHeelsMommies.com started with an idea from a woman. That woman involved another woman and voila! Here we are! We wanted an easy-to-access place where mommies in all phases of motherhood could come together to share, laugh, gather information, and connect with other mommies who are head over heels about things in life – especially their little (and not-so-little) ones!

We’ve all had those moments where all you want to do is burst open the flood gates and rant and rave about your experiences as a mother/caregiver, but not everyone is quite as eager to listen. At HeadOverHeelsMommies.com, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable when discussing your joys, concerns, and anything else you want to share with other mommies (and daddies too!). It doesn’t only have to be about your kids either! Do you know of a great sale? Did you just buy the most fabulous pair of shoes and need to Ooh and Aah? Found a great moisturizer? We want to know! So we encourage you to share whatever’s on your mind – spill the beans ladies!

Kristin and Debbie are two sassy chicks with a great sense of humor, fairly strong stomachs, and a love for kids! We are here for you to offer our thoughts and share our own ups and downs in the realm of motherhood and childcare. Our hope is to create a community of mommies (and daddies too) with whom we can build trust, camaraderie, and an endless supply of stories and advice that will make us laugh, touch our hearts, and remind us how blessed we truly are in this life.

Thanks for stopping by! It’s a pleasure to be in the company of greatness!

~ totally “Head over Heels”  Debbie & Kristin

Debbie would like to thank the following people for their inspiration, encouragement, and constant support: My mom – for caring so much, loving me with all her heart, and being brave enough to share her mistakes so that I can learn from them; my brother Neil – for always standing by me, letting his little sister hang out with his friends so she could feel cool in 8th grade; being the best big brother a girl could have ever hoped for; and being half responsible for bringing Delaney and Chase into this world; my sister-in-law, Trish – for always being there to listen and lend a shoulder to cry on, for showing me what it’s like to really have a sister be an integral part of your life, for suggesting pedicures, and for being the other half responsible for bringing Delaney and Chase into this world; my dad – for always being excited and supportive with the crazy ideas I am always coming up with; my best friend Lauren – for being the brave mother of 4 boys and sharing the craziness that goes on in their household; my boss, Dina – for encouraging me to start a blog as an outlet for creative writing and having confidence in my ability to relate to moms; and finally, to all my mommy friends – for your strength, friendship, crazy stories, advice, trust, and intuition that make you all amazing moms, and more importantly, amazing women to know!

Kristin would like to thank the following people for their constant love, guidance and candor: My daughter Isabelle, who even though the time she has been in my life has been short, the impact she has had and continues to have is absolutely  immeasurable.  Having her in my life reminds me, how special life really is.  She makes me want to be the best version of myself!  My husband Keith, my partner in this exciting life.  He is my rock and the reason for my peaceful existence!  My parents for teaching me the true lessons of life, and for always believing in me.  And of course my three bestest friends who are always super supportive and give the greatest advice; my sister Jayme who, as sisters do, never lets me forget that I am still just me, and always let’s me be me.  Becky, who reminds me to stop and drink the wine from time to time, and Colleen who is the best listener ever, and is the BFF I never had in grade school.  Also to all of the Phenomenal women I have met and will meet in my lifetime, every one of them leave their whispers on my soul and change and mold me as each day passes into the person I am supposed to be!
